Inq Final Self-Assessment.

“This INQ section challenges students to immerse themselves in the college experience: juggle multiple tasks, be problem solvers, ask questions, take risks, grapple with difficulty, be creative, learn from failure, take ownership over their own learning, and apply abstract concepts to their actual everyday lives”. The syllabus described these goals. In the beginning of the semester I only had a few of these skills, but throughout the semester I believe I met these course goals and achieved the specific goals. I learned from my failures by correcting what I did wrong on one thing and making it better on the next. For example, on the midterm video project some of the slides had too much writing, so I know for the final video project I need to have less writing on the slides. Also, in gymnastics I learn from my failures. If I mess up on a skill or anything I learn how to fix it and make it better. I met the requirement of this course because not only did I complete all of the work I was supposed to, but I learned new things with each task.

One of the main topics we focused on throughout this semester was time-management. In high school I would always wait until the very last moment to do any work. If I had a paper, I would write it the night before it was due. I did the same thing if I had a project. Sometimes, with homework, I would do it the morning it was due or in the beginning of class. Now, in college I have learned how to manage my time. I create lists and dates of when I need to do parts of an assignment so I will not be overwhelmed the day before it is due. I plan my time according to how long I think it will take me to complete it. In high school, we had our parents there to tell us what to do and when to do it, but now it is up to us to do it or not. I think this is a very important skill to learn and I feel I have met this goal.

Another specific skill that we have been working on is blogging. Since we have to write two blogs per week, I have gotten much better at them. I feel my writing has gotten more creative and more on a college-level. I tried to be creative with the blog titles, pictures, and the content that was in my blog. Another thing we have been working on is juggling multiple tasks. While having a lot of work in this class, we had to juggle getting it all done along with all the work for our other classes. I learned how to deal with difficult assignments. Also, on top of juggling all of my school work, I also had to juggle time to do everything around my gymnastics practices. This got stressful at some points, but it was something I needed to do, so I had to make sure I had time to do it all. I learned a lot from the first video project that I would use and change for the final video project. For the first one, I tried at first to do it by myself but didn’t know how. I left it until the last minute and was extremely stressed. For this final video project, I asked questions and got help, and planned everything out. I started working on it a little every day. I did this so I wouldn’t be overwhelmed the day before it was due. I got it done early so I wouldn’t have to stress about it. This is the same with all assignments. I would do a little work every day so I would get done quickly and wouldn’t be stressed by leaving it until the day before it was due.
In conclusion, I learned how to transition from high school to college. I learned time-management, and how to find my voice in blogging. I will definitely carry these skills with me for the rest of college, and even later into in life. Time-management is not only an important skill now, but it will be an important skill in the future when we get jobs. In future semesters I hope I will become more of a leader and step out of my comfort zone. Overall, this class taught me a lot, and I will use what I have learned in the future. So far in college I am a student athlete and have become a better academic student. I have learned a lot this semester, and I hope to keep learning new helpful skills in the future.

Successes vs. Failures...Which will win?

In my first semester here at Southern Connecticut State University I have had some great successes as well as some failures. I have done very well so far at balancing out my priorities. I have maintained good grades, as well as participating in gymnastics. Although I have had some bad grades on tests, overall I did anything I could to make sure my grade was not affected that badly. If I did not do well on a quiz or test, or any assignment, I talked to my professor to see what I could do to make sure I wouldn’t fail again. I do not like to fail, but some subjects are hard for me. For example, history is very hard for me to begin with, but this semester I took Western Civilization. Some history classes interests me, however this one did not at all. It was very hard for me to stay focused during the lectures which meant I didn’t take good notes. By not taking good notes, this affected my grades on the tests. After my first bad grade, I made sure I took better notes and paid attention more, so I could do better on the next test. This was really my only failure of the semester. Other than a few bad grades, everything else was a success. I have been doing well in my other classes, and in gymnastics. The only weakness I would have is getting distracted if my friends were doing something. I know what I have to do for next semester to be successful and I am looking forward to accomplishing it.

Second Semester Already?!

I can’t believe our first semester of college is over. It went by so fast! I have a lot of personal, social, and academic goals for next semester. One goal is going to be able to manage my time with new classes, new teachers, and my first collegiate gymnastics competitions. My goal is to be a contributor to the team by doing whatever I have to do. Whether that is just being there to support them or competing. A big goal, which I hope my team accomplishes, is making it to nationals as a team. That would be amazing and very exciting! Honestly, I am happy with my social life. I have made a lot of great friends who I know have my back. Next semester it is going to be hard to have a lot of free time. We have a competition almost every weekend, and on top of that I have my classes and schoolwork.  An academic goal I have for next semester is to get all A’s and B’s. I really would like to get straight A’s, but I will be happy if I get A’s and B’s. This semester, I really wanted to get a 3.5 or higher GPA, which I don’t know if I got that yet, but I don’t think it is that high. I am almost positive that I got all A’s and B’s this semester, which I am very happy with for my first semester at college. I am happy with everything, my personal, social, and academic life. I hope next semester I am just as motivated to do well, and I will take everything that I learned this semester and use it next semester.

English Class+Inquiry Class=Same Students in Both?

When I found out we were going to be with the same class for inquiry and english I didn't know what to think. I have never had everyone in the same class be in two classes together. I didn't know what to expect. It turned out I really liked having it this way. We all became comfortable with each other because we had two classes together. I knew I could talk to anyone if I had a problem, and I think we all felt this way. We are not only classmates, but we became friends. The downside to having the same students in two classes is you don't meet as many other people. If we had different students in the classes than we could make more friends with the different student. You're missing out on meeting twenty different students that can also be your friends. Although this is true, I did overall like having the same students in both the classes. I will miss them a lot next semester. If we were stressed about something, we were usually stressed together and could talk about it and help each other. We got very comfortable with each other and could talk about our problems and knew everyone was there for us. I know some of us have some classes together next semester so we will stay in touch. If we don't have a class together, I'm sure students will still stay in touch because we formed a bond by being together for six hours a week instead of just three. I am going to miss this class of students and it was great to meet everyone.

Crystal Ball...What Lies Ahead in my Future?

What do I want my life to be like after college? I mean everyone probably wishes they could have all the money in the world so they can do whatever they want, but that is not realistic. My best friend Marisa and I, have lately been talking about how we want to move to California after college. I know this really isn't the most realistic dream ever because we need to get a lot of money first, but this is what we would really like to do. Marisa and I have been best friends since we were five. We have done gymnastics together, gone to school together, and pretty much everything else. She is really like my sister and I know we will be best friends forever. Although she goes to school in Illinois and I now go to school in Connecticut, we still talk everyday. When we get to see each other, it is like we were never apart. Our original dream was to live all over the place for a couple years, then decide where we want to live. We wanted to live in NYC, Italy, and California. We soon realized this was never going to happen so we decided we really want to live in California. Marisa wants to be a teacher, and I want to work with animals, so we could easily find these things in California. However, the money is the issue. Also, I would miss my family a lot. I am very close with my family and to move that far away from them would be extremely hard. This would be my ideal life after college, but I am sure it is going to take me a while to get there.

Happy Turkey Day...Dig In!!!

When I called my parents a couple weeks ago about planning for Thanksgiving, they were already getting ready for it. They started calling butchers, bakery's, and spending their three hundred and fifty dollars in groceries to earn their free turkey. Orchestrating what everyone brings for the thanksgiving meal is an art in itself. Planning who brings the vegetables, stuffing, pies, and other delicious items. Also you have to worry about whose recipes to use, Grandmas, Moms or the one we heard from Rachael Ray. This Thanksgiving we had family and friends come over our house for dinner. My grandma, uncle, and aunt and other grandma came. Our close family friends, Carol, Larry, and Ari also came. My brother, Brandon, dad and mom were here too. It was great to see everyone because I had not seen most of them since I left for school in August. The day started with watching the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade, which we do every year. My family came over at twelve. We had snacks for a while because we weren't eating until five. We had assorted candy, pretzels, chips and dip, cheese and crackers, and a new hersheys kiss that tastes like a chocolate covered cherry. We made our pool table into a huge dining room table which sat the twelve people comfortably, so we could all fit at the table after we ate. We had delicious juicy turkey, three different stuffings, olives, corn, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, mushrooms, peas and carrots in a special sauce, fresh rye bread, and sweet potatoes. Hours later we sat down reluctantly but excited about the blueberry, apple, pumpkin and strawberry banana yogert pies, assorted cookies, and blondies. After all of this food, we couldn't move and we sat on the couch watching football. It was a great day seeing our family and friends and eating all of that amazingly delicious food. All of the weeks of preparation for this feast, the hours of cooking, the shopping, was it really worth it??? You bet it was!

Jumping Over Hurdles as a Freshman!

Not only am I the normal freshman that has to adjust with being away from home, the college life, classes, homework, trying out and making an athletic team, doing my own wash for the first time, and everything else, my chocolate lab, Candy, was diagnosed with diabetes in the beginning of the school year. Also, before I left for college, we realized my cat Blitzen, had a lump on his back. So on top  of all of these things I had to adjust to, I was now worrying about them from a distance. A couple months later, when I went home for the first time in October, we brought Blitzen to the vet where he was diagnosed with aggressive cancer and was put down a couple days later. I had to come back to school knowing that I would never see Blitzen again and had to deal with this away from my family. Thank god for skype and all of these new technologies because I was able to talk to and see my family over a computer, so it felt like I was there with them. This was a big struggle for me because it was the first time I lost someone I loved. The things that I said earlier in this blog, that are usually a hurdle for freshman, turned out to be a good distraction to keep my mind off of what happened. Another issue I have had so far this semester, is being in a dorm room and dealing with complications this could cause. For example, I live in Farnham Hall, and there is constant construction. I have to deal with hearing loud construction work being done every day and trying to focus and get my work done with all of the distractions. Also, because of the construction the heat was not turned on until about a week ago, so we were freezing in my dorm. With this being my first year at college, and jumping over these hurdles, I am convinced that I will be able handle anything thrown my way in the future.

Varsity Team Captain!

It was my senior year of high school and going to be my fourth year on the varsity gymnastics team. My friend and I were the only girls who have been on varsity since freshman year. When it came time to vote for captains I was nervous. There were six senior girls that the team and coaches could choose from. Although I was always very nice and helpful to everyone, I wasn't sure if they were going to pick me. Personally, when I think about who should get captain of a sports team, I think it should be the people who are the best and know the most about the sport. Also, someone who could help inspire the team and keep a positive energy. My friend and I were the only girls out of the seniors who did gymnastics outside of school, so obviously we had more skills because we have been doing it longer and more. We thought, along with many others that it was going to be us as captains, however this was not the case. My friend had a very bad attitude and really only cared about herself. So it was a not a shock to me when she didn't get captain. I was very excited when I heard my coach's call my name as one of the captains. I thought I deserved it and would be a great captain and leader of the team. My self and two other girls were captains. Although I didn't think one of them deserved to be captain she ended up proving herself and was a good captain. We always made sure to motivate the girls and keep a positive energy. If anyone had a problem we tried to resolve it and deal with it. As one of the leaders on the team, I knew I had to step up and do everything I could for us to be good. Everyone had fun that year and always had a smile on their face. Overall I think I was a very good captain and I really stepped up to be a good leader. At the end of the school year, there was a varsity awards dinner. I got the leadership award for my high schools varsity athletic club. I was very honored to win this award and am very proud.

What does it mean to be Intellectually stimulated?

I think intellectually stimulated is something that makes you think. For example a class. It can be a class that gets you thinking like philosophy, astronomy, history classes or pretty much any class you take. If i had to choose a class that makes me intellectually stimulated, I would have to say it is inquiry. Before inquiry I was not creative at all. I hated writing, and was bad at coming up with creative ideas. I feel that having to write blogs every week has definitely made me intellectually stimulated. I feel that the quality of my writing has increased a lot since the beginning of the year. Every week I feel more and more confident about writing them. Also, for the midterm project I learned a lot. I was not very computer savy before the project. I learned how to use imovie which will be useful in the future, especially for the final project. I learned how to make slides, put music in, put pictures and videos in it, and so much more. I feel like my creativeness is coming out by doing the video projects because you have to be creative for it to look good. This class really gets me thinking about everything we do. Whether it be the readings, the blogs, or the projects. Overall, I believe my inquiry class is the class where I feel intellectually stimulated.

Where to Study at SCSU?

The place where I study is study hall. For gymnastics I have to go to study hall for five hours per week. The days you can go is Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday from 7:30-10:30. You have to stay for at least one hour and thirty minutes. I usually go Monday for three hours and Tuesday for two hours so I get it done right away. However I know some people can't handle being there for so long, so they go for an hour and a half for two days and two hours the other day. I personally like getting it done in two days and it doesn't bother me that it is long. All freshman athletes have to go to study hall, and any athlete with a gpa lower than a 2.8 have to go. I love study hall because I can concentrate and I have to do work. I get all of my work done. Next semester however, I will not have to go to study hall, so I have to find a different place to study. I can't study that well in my room because I get distracted and will never get anything done. When I was doing my campus safari I went to the multicultural center. One of the woman told me all about it and showed me this room where they have exhibits. She told me that people go there to study sometimes. She said we were welcome anytime we wanted. I thought maybe this will be a great place to get work done next semester. Also, there is another room to study in on the second floor in the student center. Not a lot of people were in there so that would be good. Although I will no longer have study hall, I'm sure there are many other places I can study and get my work done, like the places in the student center.

Go the Extra Mile!

On tuesday in class, we talked more about grade inflation. We discussed the articles we read and elaborated on them. We talked how students believe by just handing in an assignment they deserve an A even if they didn't put any effort in. By just handing in an assignment and not putting effort in, it's probably an average piece of work which would be a C. If you put effort in you would probably receive a B. However, if you take that extra step and put in a lot of effort thats when you get the A. I think students feel that they automatically should get an A by just doing what the teachers ask. If a teacher assigns a paper and says everything that needs to be in there, and a student does it, does that mean it should be an A? This is a hard question to answer. Everyones opinion is probably different. Some people may think that yes, if they did everything they were supposed to, then they should receieve an A. However, others may feel that they should put the extra effort in and put more into it than what is expected. I think this varries with your professor. Some may be more lenient then others. I believe on every assignment you should put your all into it and show that you are putting effort in. Try to go that extra mile and show that you are working hard and putting more into then what they want. If you do this and still do not get the grade you wanted or expected then go talk to the professor and see what you are doing wrong. There are always things to work on. Keep trying so you can get to your goal and where you want to be.

How Do You Get Rid of Stress?

What is stress? Stress is a physical and emotional response to pressure. You can feel stressed by a job, school, or pretty much anything in your life. When I feel stressed I usually talk to friends or family. They always know the right thing to say to help me feel better. Whether it is about school or gymnastics or whatever, they always help me feel better. If I can't talk to them I like to watch television or a movie. That always takes my mind off of everything. I like to go off into my own little world and not worry about anything. It keeps me distracted and I am more relaxed. I know everyone is different with what helps them relax, but I like to get my mind off of whatever is stressing me out. You could go hang out with friends to distract you. Go to the mall, or the movies or just go out and get your mind off of everything. Other ways to help relieve stress is yoga, meditation, and making lists. You can make lists about what is making you stressed and trying to work it out step by step. I was stressed about a test and I made a list about what I was going to do. I divided the information on the test into parts and studied them every day until the test. Making lists is definitely a helpful way to relieve stress. If you are feeling stressed just tell yourself it is going to be ok. Freaking out and worrying about the situation is not going to help, it is only going to make things worse. Just try any of these suggestions or anything that works for you. It will help and you will feel a lot better once you are relaxed.

Stepping Outside Your Comfort Zone.

When I saw that for this weeks blogs we had to do something out of out comfort zone, I was nervous. I didn't know what to do because I don't like stepping out of my comfort zone. Usually when I go downtown I take a taxi, but I decided to try something different and take the bus. I was a little nervous because I didn't know what to expect. I didn't know who would be on the bus, if it was safe, and I didn't know where we were supposed to get off. We went to the bus station at 10:10 for the 10:20 bus. The bus didn't come until 10:50, which frustrated me. When the bus finally came, a ton of students got on as well. There was a lot of students on the bus going downtown for Halloween. They were being very loud and distracting, so the bus driver stopped the bus and wouldn't drive until everyone got off. My friends and I weren't being loud, so we got to stay on, but everyone else had to get off. There was other people on the bus going to work and they were getting really angry because no one was getting off the bus. I got scared because they were screaming at people and I thought there was going to be a fight, but there wasn't. We also took the bus on the way back. There was so many students waiting to get on the bus. A cop had to come and tell people to back up so the bus could open the doors. Everyone wanted to get on, so there was a lot of pushing and shoving. I was squished so much my feet were off the ground. We finally got on the bus and made it home fine. The experience was definitely out of my comfort zone, and I don't know if I would do it again.

Uh Oh Midterm Grades!!!

When I saw my midterm grades I was satisfied. I wasn’t very happy but I wasn’t really disappointed. High school was a lot easier because of the amount of work I had. My senior year of high school I never got homework. My classes were extremely easy and in order to get a good grade in the class I didn’t have to do much. However in college, it is the opposite. The work load is so much more and you have to study a lot in order to get good grades. I believe so far in the first semester, I have studied a good amount, but I know I need to study even more to get my grades to where I want them to be. I am happy with my English grade and I hope to maintain what it is now. My math grade was good until the midterm so I know I have to work hard to get it back to where I want it to be. I would like my inquiry grade to go up so I have to work harder and participate more. My Western Civilization grade is not good because I didn’t study as much as I should have on our first test. I have another test this week so I am really going to try to study a lot so I can do better and raise my grade. I am satisfied with my Italian grade but I would be very happy if I could get it up. So far I am satisfied with my grades but I am going to work very hard to get them to where I want them to be!

What is Going on in Schools in America?

There were three readings this week. “Grade Inflation in American Education”, “Student Expectations Seen as Causing Grade Disputes”, and “Generation Me: Are We In A Narcissism Epidemic”? In these articles it talks about how kids now feel entitled to get an A on an assignment just because they handed it in. Students think that just because they show up to class and do their assignments they should automatically receive an A. I don’t think this is true. Although there may be some students that think this way majority of student know they have to earn the grade by trying hard on the assignment, not just doing it. They also talk about grade inflation. Some schools, mostly I.V. league schools are making grading easier so students can get a higher G.P.A.  I honestly don’t know if this is true or not but if it is, I don’t think it’s fair. I think grading should be the same at every school and no one should get an easy way out by easier grading, especially I.V. league schools. You have to be very smart to get into them so in my opinion they should be the last ones having grading easier. In the article they say they grading is easier so the students who graduate have a higher G.P.A and look better for jobs. Also, this makes the school look good with everyone having high grades. These articles were very interesting. Although I don’t know if these things are really going on, if they are it should stop.

Midterm Video!!!

What Makes a Person Motivated Academically and Athletically?

I did my midterm project on motivation. I thought it was going to be very hard, which some of it was but overall it was a great learning experience. I learned how to use imovie. I learned how to edit videos, and make them more creative. It actually turned out to be pretty fun making this project. However, I got extremely frustrated at some points. When I tried to add a video clip in after I did everything else, it deleted one of my slides. I didn’t know how to get it back, so I had to redo that slide. I was very angry because I couldn’t figure out how to get it back. Also this made me not try to add anything else in because I thought other things would get deleted. Tyler was a big help in doing this project. He taught me how to use imovie and showed me how to put the project together. Also, interviewing the people, it was interesting to see their different perspectives on motivation. Many of them had similar opinions, but some had different which made it unique. Overall, this was a great learning experience. This will definitely help with future projects. I had fun interviewing the people, making the movie, and seeing the final video. I think for my first time doing this it came out very good!

Role of a Peer Mentor.

What is a peer mentor? A peer mentor is usually an older more experienced student that helps out new students.  They help people adapt to their new environment and help them if they need anything. In our Inquiry class, our peer mentor is Kaitlyn. She is a wonderful peer mentor. She is outgoing, very friendly and extremely helpful. When I first walked into class on the first day I was just expecting my teacher, but there was also an older student there. When we found out she was our peer mentor I was very excited. I knew this would be helpful because if I couldn’t get in touch with my teacher to figure something out, I could ask her. Although at first I was a little nervous to go and talk to her because she was an older student and didn’t know what she was like, I quickly found out she was very nice. I think Kaitlyn adds a positive energy to the class. She always has a smile on her face. What I have learned from Kaitlyn is that time management is important along with doing all of our work. Even if something isn’t fun, it has a purpose that will benefit us in the future. Managing all the work we do will help us in years to come and other classes we have. Overall, I enjoy Kaitlyn as our peer mentor and I think she contributes in the class. I feel comfortable asking her anything and I know she is there if I need her.

How Life Can Change in a Blink of an Eye.

I was the happiest girl in the world. I was finally going home for the first time since I came to school. However, it turned out to be the worst weekend of my life. I went home Friday and was so excited to be home. I saw my dog which I missed very much, and then I went downstairs to see my cats. When I went downstairs and saw one of my cats Blitz, I started crying. He was half the size he was before I left and had a huge lump on his back and a hole in it. We realized there was a lump on him a couple months ago, but it wasn’t bothering him so we didn’t think that much of it. The lump exploded a week before I got home so my dad took him to the vet. They said it was a tumor and he had to come back in a week and check if it was cancerous. So the Saturday I was home, we went to the vet in the morning and as soon as we got there the vet felt it and said it was aggressive cancer. My world came crashing down. I started crying hysterically and didn’t stop for days. I have never lost something I loved, so this was very hard for me. The vet said we should put him down because he was in a lot of pain. I spent the rest of the weekend with him and my parents put him down on Monday. It was the hardest thing I had to do leaving him knowing that I will never see him again. I love him very much and will always remember him. He was honestly one of the best cats in the world. He loved to jump on the sink and put his head under the water and get soaked. He was born on Christmas along with his brother Frosty who I love very much. He loved to cuddle and would come over as soon as you said his name. He listened very well and was a very playful cat. I know he is now out of pain and it is better for him, but I will always think about him, miss him and love him. I love you so much Blitz, RIP. 10/11/10.

What Makes a Good Blog?

What makes a good blog? Is it the subject of writing, the way a person writes, the look of a blog? There are many different things that can make a blog good. Creativity is a major key. One person in the class that always has a creative blog is Alexis Her blog names and what she writes about are always creative. Another thing that makes a blog good is the language of the blog. Some people’s blogs seem professional and their language flows throughout their pieces. Oscar's blogs are always entertaining. They are overall very good and I look at his blogs for inspiration. He puts in a lot of effort into them and it definitely shows.
Some people might argue with what makes a blog good. Since blogs are free writing, does that mean someone’s blog can necessarily be bad? There may be blogs that are better than others, but can someone’s blog be not good? Some can be more interesting and can keep your attention, however some people’s blogs can still be good if they are simple. I think if someone tries to write about personal things it makes the reader feel more connected to what they are reading and more interested. I have yet to look at someone’s blog and say that it is not good. There may be things that they can do better to make it more interesting, but as long as they are writing and expressing their opinions they are good. I look forward  to reading the different topics each week.

When I Grow Up I Want to be....?

How do you figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life? Some people know what they want to do from the time they are little, others, don’t know for a long time. For me, I thought I knew up until a couple years ago. Ever since I was five years old, I wanted to be a veterinarian. I have always loved animals. I wanted to spend as much time as I could to care for them. When I was younger I had so many different pets, for example iguanas, hermit crabs, cats, a dog, and so many more. I loved exotic animals and one of my dreams was to own a large house and have a lot of horses. I wanted to take in hurt horses and take care of them and heal them. I thought being a veterinarian was perfect because I would get paid to do something I loved. I would get to help animals and be with them all day. I wanted this until about a year ago when I went to the vet for my dog. I talked to the vet and told her how I wanted to be one. She explained I would not have that much time to do other stuff I wanted too other than studying. Since I do gymnastics and I wanted a social life also, I thought I would not be able to handle trying to become a vet and all the work that came with it. She also said how competitive it was to make it in to veterinary school. It is even harder to get in than medical school. Since I have never loved studying I realized that this would probably not be a good choice for me.
I also thought of becoming an accountant. I have always loved math and am good at it so I took accounting my senior year. After taking that class I no longer wanted to be an accountant. The math parts were easy for me but the business part of it was very difficult. Although I don’t know what my major is yet I am hoping to decide one very soon.

What Makes a Person Motivated?

My inquiry question is what makes a person motivated. For my project I am going to interview one or two coaches and a professor. I’m going to ask the coaches what makes an athlete motivated. I’m going to interview my coach for gymnastics. I am trying to think of another coach I could interview but I can’t think of one that I would be able to meet with and talk to. I’m going to ask the professor I interview about what makes a student motivated academically. I want to find the differences in what makes each, an athlete and regular student motivated as well as similarities. I feel like this might be difficult to find time to interview them. I am also going to interview a teammate and a regular student and compare what makes them motivated.  I feel like one of the biggest obstacles I will have is finding the time to interview people. For the most part, I know what I want to ask them and what I would like to accomplish for the project but finding time is going to be the problem. Also I am worried about putting the whole project together.  I am not experienced with technology. I don’t know how to do a lot of stuff using it which includes making videos. I don’t know how to cut the interviews I have and to only put the parts I want in a video. I am looking forward to learning how to do this so if I ever get any other projects like this one I will know what to do.
